Machinarium gone for PC?

My game Machinarium has just stopped working after playing it this week. I can no longer find it on the Microsoft store or in my Library. I have it installed on my windows 10 machine and its played fine for years. When I now click on it I get the message its not available in my account, error code 0x803F8001. Using the link given in that message it opens in store, though play button gives same error.

Does this mean I should buy my games through steam, fed up of things just disappearing, think back to my DRM music loss. There is never anyone to get support from and you get thrown at the community to resolve.

Would it be okay if you can send me a screenshot of the order transaction for the game last 2014? Currently investigating everything as the new version that is now on Microsoft Store was Machinarium and was released last 4/16/2020 only.

I spoke to soon. Played fine at lunch time at work today. Have come home, using same computer it now won't start. Using same phone hotspot, signed in with same account and just get the error:

CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT

Machinarium is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to your Microsoft store and try again. Here's the error code, in case you need it. 0x803F8001. See in store.

If I click the See in store link I get the PLAY button against the games store page confirming I paid for it.

As I've said before it's missing from my library, not sure what is going on here, played an hour today at lunchtime, nothing has changed apart from being sat at home on sofa and of course time of day.

Do need someone from Microsoft answering this one...?

I also have the game pass so I guess entitled to both editions. FYI below shows its saying there is something wrong at Microsoft's end:

The windows 8 edition does state on the playstore page that it works for windows 10.

Signed out of store and Xbox app.... Signed back into the Xbox app, gone into my settings there and got it to sign me into the store.

I can now see all my library purchases.

Restarted and this time gone into he store, all checked library, it is still there, Machinarium.

Starting it from the store or the shortcut on desktop still gives me the error message posted previously. Currently I have no issue with any other store game I've tried.

For information, on one occasion tonight I've managed to get the game working, but when I came out of it I've not managed in the two hours since to get it to work.

Hi Mi4n, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

We need to confirm if you're signed in under the account where the game was purchased. Kindly sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and locate the transaction for the game Machinarium, you should see it stated as "completed".

Once you were able to find the transaction for the game stated as "completed" simply sign out both on Xbox App and Microsoft Store then restart before signing back in.
