MAC Spoofing Xbox One

Here's my problem: I bought a used xbox from a friend. He played a lot of Madden 19. One of the game modes only allows 5 gamertags access per console to prevent "farming" coins that you can trade between accounts.

Even if I purchase a new digital copy of the game, the limit won't allow me access because it's associated with the console.

I just want to start my own game mode from scratch, with my own copy of the game, on my own account.

Is there any way to "trick" EA's servers into thinking I'm on a new xbox? Is there a way to change how my console is recognized?

As long as the EAP/802.1X process doesn't include a certificate for authentication, then there's nothing that hinders you from doing this in the reversed order. Instead of spoofing the MAC address of your computer (access client), spoof the address of your
Xbox one, making it so that your computer's hardware address is the one of your Xbox one's hardware address (make sure you select the MAC address of your primary connection type).

If you need to change the MAC address of your computer's wireless card, well, then there will be some more effort to put into this.

 

Mac address change

MAC address format (when entered on the Xbox One) shouldn't require the colons or dashes. For example, "AB-CD-EF-12-34-56" would be entered as "ABCDEF123456".

Alternatively, you can try spoofing the MAC address on your other devices (using the MAC address of your Xbox).

I had a long conversation with EA this morning and they said they were certain that this restriction wasn't under their control. I asked why only their games have this limit if it's not their restriction? He asked a specialist and came back with the exact
same answer. Doesn't make any sense to me.

They said the only solution is to use another xbox which hasn't run Madden 19 to start the game mode on my gamertag, because then my GT would be linked in the cloud to their xbox when I'm playing this mode, and I wouldn't be restricted by my console's limit.

I'm doubt I'm going to do that, so I wonder if there is any technical workaround like MAC spoofing or if Microsoft could somehow let me exchange my xbox (I have the receipt from the person who bought it).
