MAC address issue or glitch??

Discus and support MAC address issue or glitch?? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I cant seem to connect to the wifi I'm using (not mine) and its the same thing every time this is the third time this has happened and last few times...     MAC address issue or glitch??


    I cant seem to connect to the wifi I'm using (not mine) and its the same thing every time this is the third time this has happened and last few times it solved itself with the same problem saying something about my MAC address I cant connect to anything.
    When I try to connect to the wifi it wont ask for the password like it usually does and go straight to checking connection. Plus cant seem to do anything I cant connected to a different network it wont give me the option to...need help???

    Alternate Mac Address Issue

    Try go to Xbox Network Settings (under system settings). Go to Advanced Settings. Select Alternate MAC address and then Clear. This will clear your consoles IP settings back to default. Power cycle your console and you should be good to go.

    Alternate Mac Address Issue

    Hi,

    I recently had to go to Virginia on business. While I was in the hotel there i switched my mac address on my xbox one to mirror my cell phone in order to get on xbox live. Problem I am having is now I am home and my Xbox One keeps trying to connect to that
    mac address. How can I fix this to use the mac address that it always used at my home?

    MAC address issue or glitch??

    If this is not your Wi-Fi network, you'll need to contact the system administrator to help you connect your Xbox to the network.

    If you're getting a network error about your MAC address, I'm guessing the admin has blacklisted your Xbox's MAC address from connecting to the network.

    Hey guys! Is the option to use an alternate MAC address blocked entirely, or does it go through with no affect? Post back and let us know!

    Hi. When I input the alternate MAC address it asks me to restart but after restarting it has kept the original MAC address. I posted on reddit (

    www.reddit.com/.../tech_my_new_xbox_one_s_wont_take_alternate_mac     ) and official xbox support replied that it is a issue pending to be solved. Any idea when we get an update? If it takes too long I will want to return my xbox before my chance to return
    it expires. Thanks.

    Hey reescal! We don't have a fix date for this yet but the right teams are looking in to it. This issue is happening with original consoles as well. As soon as we get more information, I will be sure to post it here. Thanks!
