    I just got the this message for my Xbox one and I'm using my phone as a router I have a droid ultra from Verizon and I consistly losing my network and have to sign back in, do I need a real router or will my phone being used as a router be perfectly fine,
    it sucks I be in the middle of a live game and bam I'm disconnected.

    We would be unable to assist with that here on the Xbox Support Forums. You would need to work with your ISP to determine if the modem they've provided is MAC filtering. If you purchased the modem you have separately, you will want to refer to the owner's
    manual.

    What is the exact make and model number of your router? Where exactly are you getting this error message about turning off mac address filtering when you attempt to connect to LIVE?

    I have gone on the configuration page and there is no option and I turned off the firewall and it still does not work.

    It could be a configuration on your modem/router, you can try to hard reset it, most routers have a small button to reset, push and hold for about 30 seconds.

    can you help me figure out if my router is filtering Mac addresses?

    go to settings on ur xbox then advanced settings click on alternate Mac address and hit clear. It’ll reset and then it’ll connect
