Lvl 49 and my titan can't compete now.

Is it me but I'm finding that my titan can't compete against G2 or higher titans now. Almost at the point of not using my titan at all until i'm at G2. Any ideas.

Another failure

Can't do much when you can't kill anything, especially other titans at lvl 49. All Serious thought, last 2 - 4 matches all I get is 1k - 2k XP. Finding that killing other pilots is getting harder for some reason.

Very frustrating.

I was in a match where the other team was all higher gens all the way to G9. We won and I had no problem with my Titan competing against theirs. So not really sure. I actually scored the highest in said match. Not really sure the gen thing gives any
advantage but someone else can chime in if it does.

Maybe you were just off a little in those matches. Only other thing I can think of is the issue I have had occasionally where the other pilots and titans just do not seem to take damage. I have mentioned it before, not sure if here but definitely on the
Respawn forums, but basically the Titans do not take any damage at all. Can run around with no shield an barely visible health and kill multiple Titans and take multiple rockets. I have also noticed the shields and health falling way slower than normal a
couple times. These things have not happened very often though.

 

haven't experienced that. But definitely experience them firing and my shield & health go down very fast. But when I fire at them, their shields go down very slowly.

 

Regen'd players titans are not more powerful than yours, not from a basic standpoint anyway. You have to remember that different players have different load outs that tailor to certain perks in the game, like faster shield regeneration, accelerators on their
weapons or larger clips

 

Gen has nothing to do with Titans, levels do since they unlock things for them. Change your loadout and style if you are getting owned.

 

Yeah, as the other guys have said, the generation of the pilot is irrelevant, but the level of the pilot and the number of challenges they've completed are very relevant.

I like the 40mm cannon. Get 25 kills with it (they don't even have to be pilots - any enemies will do) and you unlock the extended magazine which holds 16 rounds instead of 12. If you're a good shot with it, you can doom a titan without reloading, even without
the extended magazine, but those extra 4 shots can make a big difference. After a few hits on a titan, you should notice the weak spot, so make sure you aim for that.

I also like the big punch mod, which isn't unlocked until your pilot hits level 41. If I see one of my team's titans going head to head with an enemy, I'll usually try and approach the enemy from the side or from behind, then smack them with the big punch
which does loads of damage. You can use it combined with your dash, so that if you're close to the enemy, particularly if they're reloading, dash towards them and let them have it with the big punch. Depending on the map you're on and where you are, you can
sometimes punch titans clean off the map. If you are in a game where you're the only player above level 41 (the generation doesn't matter), then you know you're the only one with it too, so you often have a big advantage if another player wants to get into
a punching contest (depending on the titan class you've chosen).

 

Oh yeah, I favour the electric smoke too, just because it will get you a kill if a n00b tries to rodeo you, and it will make an experienced player get off your titan so you can dash away. Getting out of your titan against an experienced player will often
result in death if you're new to the game (and sometimes even if you're not). Electric smoke is also good as it works as a smokescreen if you need to retreat and let your shield build back up, plus it will damage titans.

 

I think higher gen players seem to beat you faster than you beat them because at higher gen levels you are required to use certain weapons or get kills in different ways before you can move on to the next gen. So for instance, you may be fighting one guy
in his titan who has a friend who needs to kill titans with a charge rifle. So the titan is there taking your attention away from the little guy on the roof next to you gettin his hits that are doing the real damage to you.

That or because he has been made to use different weapons, they have a combo that really works for them such as Atlas > Quad rockets > Single shot > Damage core.

The only things Different gens gives you is xp boost and the ability to say "I can kick your a$$ with any weapon on this game, what you got?"
