    Lvl 27 trying to get to lvl 30 questions?


    So I have a lvl 27 titan and I am almost at lvl 28. I have

    Helmet legendary picked up during a strike still has 2 slots to lvl up but requires ascendent shards.

    Arms purchased legendary arms with 2 slots left to lvl up that requre ascendent shards.

    chest have an exotic chest piece that still has 2 slots to lvl that require shards

    legs have purchased legendary with 2 slots left also.

    My question is and from what I am being told is that in order for me to get to lvl 30 you have to pick up armor doing the vog raid to get from 29 to 30.

    Is this the only way to get to 30? or am I safe just leveling up my current gear? The issue I have is I don't want to waist shards on my current armor when I will have to do it all over again with vog picked up blue and green armor. It looks like I could
    get to at least lvl 29 with what I got but I don't know. What would you fellow One guys/girls do?

    I have experience. I have 2 titans lvl 30 and hunter lvl 27. My weapons are maxed out.

    You can get to 29 and some change with 3 legendaries and an exotic, but to get to 30 you need to replace those legendaries with raid armor.

    Go ahead and spend the shards on your current gear to get to 29. You'll get plenty of shards in the raid and being 29 will help, especially for hard mode. Hard raid is the only way to get the raid helmet, by the way. Start doing the raid as soon as you can,
    though. I've been raiding three times a week and still only have the gloves. It can take a while to get the full set if you're as unlucky as I am.

    That sounds right thanks for the help I will go ahead and start putting shards into current gear. I also heard if you dismantle gear you ranked up with shards, you get the shards back in inventory for other stuff.

    The most shards I've ever received from breaking down a legendary was 6. You definitely do not get all of your shards back. Still, it shouldn't be a problem. I finally got my second piece of raid gear from a hard raid tonight and after fully upgrading it
    I have 118 shards. Run the raid a few times a week for a while and you'll have more shards than you'll know what to do with.
