Loyalty rebate for Xbox One owners?

So what is exactly the criteria for being awarded the loyalty rebate and who will get it. Slightly interested because along with a lot of others I was a Day One adopter of the system and feel a little hard done by because it still doesn't support 1080i and
now it sells at £329.00.

I have been an xboxlive member for 7 years on xbox 360 and carried that over to the xbox one! I think that is loyalty and those who have showed loyalty should be rewarded.

Unless price goes down I think I will switch to PS4.

Microosft should give xbox 360 users a rebate for the xbox one.

 

The loyalty rebate that was announced by some website yesterday is mainly for those that dont have an Xbox One and have yet to upgrade. Nobody outside of Microsoft knows the criteria, could be just a lucky dip.

As for feeling a little hard done by, youve had an Xbox One since launch what more do you want? Microsoft will never give us day one buyers something, and I agree with that.

Everyone knows that early adopters pay more than those that wait six months to a year, thats the way it is.

 

Hi Shaggy, I still want 1080i bud, don't see how it was missed being the TV industry standard of HD broadcasts. Doesn't make sense to me, is all. But as an early adopter and paying the premium, don't you think we should get what we want? Yes its getting
there now and is the hub of our TV and film experiences in the lounge but its not seamless yet in my opinion.

 

We should get a rebate for those still holding out for a xbone. I bought the 360 on launch day,unaware of the RROD fiasco. To get a refurbished console after shelling out over £400 was daylight robbery.

 

I should get a pound everytime somebody else has a self entitled rant.

1080i is as dead as plasma TV's, why support a feature a very few minority have need for.

 

If you think 1080i is dead and only a very few minority need it then you are very misinformed.

Almost all HD channels broadcast in 1080i and most all set-top boxes output 1080i. Pretty much any HD device will output 1080i (including the Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and WiiU). Xbox One is the only one that does not.

Adding 1080i support for the Xbox One is a top request on
http://feedback.xbox.com/ and has more votes than a majority of the requests on that site.

The loyalty thing isn't about entitlement either. Its just wondering why MS calls that a loyalty reward when the loyal Xbox owners are the ones that pre-ordered and got an Xbox One at launch. The least they could do is add the features that we were promised
and told the Xbox One supported prior to launch instead of them thinking up new ways to sell this system to people that haven't purchased it yet to the detriment of those that already own it (selling a Kinect-less version so developers have less incentive
to develop for it).

I don't know about anybody else, but I don't want a loyalty reward, I just want a refund for my Xbox One if they aren't going to add support for features we were promised before launch like 1080i output.
