    Lowering my ping?


    hi my ping is sitting at a 90 and I was wondering if there is a way to get that lowered easily or if it's just simply how far away I live from the servers? When I play gears online I either have great connection and do extremely well or my connection is
    poor and my shots seem not to register.

    Lowering Difficulty Question

    I'm playing RAGE on normal and want to lower it to easy (wasn't that good at doom either) would it stop me from getting Achievements besides beating the game on normal and some achievements say to complete in one play-through is that the difficulty setting?
    That's why I ask please help thanks.

    Lowering my ping?

    The latency (ping) depends on many factors as;

    1. Your ISP

    2. Cable quality (not only in your home, but from the distribution box your ISP owns)

    3. Mainly the distance between you and the servers

    If your ISP is good and you have no issues with the wiring to your home, then there is not much you can do unfortunately.

    What is your ISP?

    For ping time, 755ms is something I would expect from a 3G network connection, not via DSL or cable Internet. What do you have? A very good ping is 50ms or lower. To play online without lag, you need a ping of 100ms or lower.

    Here listed below is a list of the main ports used to connect to Xbox services, but you also can port forward to some for certain games,

    • Port 88 (UDP)
    • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
    • Port 3544 (UDP)
    • Port 4500 (UDP)

    Battlefield 4 PING

    That Speedtest and Ping test only "basically" tell you what you have. Youd have to ping your Xbone and the dedi server to get the exact measures, but yes, lower ping is better.

    when you ping your internet connection... it pings your server... when the XB1 does it.. I believe it pings a MS server.... so your ISP should be lower (faster)

    I have 90/50 with 9ms on PC and my 1 registers at 86ms 31/13
