    Hello, i'm having a problem where every time i startup my PC and enter a game from the Xbox App, the gpu usage is low (about 40%) and i'm of course getting very poor performance, after restarting my pc and getting into a game, everything goes back to normal and i'm getting proper GPU usage.

    I repaired and reset the xbox app through windows and it then worked properly, but after the last update to the xbox app it started happening again and repairing the app doesn't fix the issue anymore.

    I will mention that i'm on a fresh windows install, so i can't see how any files of the xbox app could have gotten corrupted and in need of repairing the app in the first place.

    Hello,

    I figured out what the issue was, it was G-Sync.

    It capped the game's fps to 50 for some reason, the cap does go away after restarting the pc, but after disabling G-Sync only for FH4, it consistently works properly.

    • SSD: Samsung 980 500GB
    • Game: Forza Horizon 4

    Haven't tried other games, but i'm having this issue with this one.

    Need some more information. Please provide your PC specs and what game or games you're having issues with.

    Normally when you get low GPU utilisation it's the sign of a CPU bottleneck, but for Forza Horizon 4 and an i7 12700F, it wouldn't be the issue here.

    Can you run the FH4 in-game benchmark and place a screenshot of it here?

    Hey there guissmo!

    Let's start with the obvious and double check that your GPU drivers are fully updated and on the latest version.

    I took a look through the thread you've linked from the Gears of War forums. It looks like a couple people believe that the issue lies with the "Gigabye App Center" for their motherboards. What model motherboard do you currently have and are you using that
    App Center to manage it? I've also noticed some people mentioning that it may be an issue with the Intel Lake series CPU but hopefully that's not the case.

    If you could also give us a dxdiag that'd be helpful.
