Low download speed in the Xbox App

Hi there Denis welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. What you are experiencing is due to the high volume of gamers being connected at the same time, this is due to the pandemic and everyone being inside on these difficult times, but we can try some troubleshooting to see if this situation improves!

You need to ENABLE a feature called Delivery Optimization which basically enables Peer-2-Peer downloads alongside Microsoft servers.

PAUSE your download and close the Xbox Beta or Windows Store APP

    Windows-key + R to run a command, type gpedit.msc and hit enter.
Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Delivery Optimization using the tree hierarchy on the left.

Several policies are listed under Delivery Optimization. The main one is Download Mode which determines whether Delivery Optimization is enabled, and how it is being used.

Double click "Download Mode" Then here just tick the option "ENABLE" and below select from the drop-down list "Download Mode: Internet (3)" and click APPLY > OK.

To make sure the setting is enabled now, go to

    Windows-key + I to open control panel.
Navigate to Update & Security > on your left click on Delivery Optimization
Although the options are grayed out, you can now see the ON-OFF toggle is set to the ON position: SUCCESS!

Next and final step is to open-up your Xbox or Windows Store APP and resume download, you will immediately see the speed increase. Mine went from 2-7 Mbps to my max speed of 45-50Mbps

Pro-Tip: You can also do a Ctrl + Shift + ECS then click on Performance tab then click on Ethernet where you can see your REAL download speed with metrics.

Hope it helps and see you at FH5!
I did it all before I wrote the question, but nothing has changed for me =(, I also checked the real download speed, it is around 5 MB \s ( for me, the normal speed is 2 mb, I'm in Russia, but downloading 122 GB at a speed of 700 kb \ s is unbearable)

Have you tried downloading another game to see if the issue persists?

The Xbox App has a history of very poor speeds. Try cancelling the download and, instead, download it direct from the MS Store..you should, hopefully, see better speeds (not guaranteed of course)
