    Bought a new computer monitor with HDMI ports. never had any problem with game sound on tv, but but game sound on new monitor is barely audible. Any ideas?

    I have to agree with SwordofWhedon. Monitor speakers (if you have them) are not very loud or good typically.

    There are plenty of external speakers you can go for to make your sound quality much better and louder.

    Monitors have bottom of the barrel speakers. They’re not designed for anything other than basic computing.

    TVs are designed so everyone in the living room can hear them

    Do you have it configured for 2.0 stereo PCM?

    This problem is with the sound from the X Box One to the monitor speakers (HDMI), replaced monitor and same problem.. Tried external speakers plugged into the monitor and no difference.

    What troubleshooting steps have you gone through already? You can start by clicking on the speaker icon on the taskbar on the bottom right and make sure the audio is coming from the right source.

    Make sure you have it in 2.0 PCM so you get the best possible sound from it.
