LOVE MY XBOX ONE

I want to know why that gent bought the Xbox One in the first place. We ARE the beta testers. We get to see the good and the bad. We will be there for the entire lifecycle, experiencing everything that is Xbox One.

 

Back on topic, yes I love my X1. Not perfect but neither are any of the next gen consoles. X1 just ticks more boxes for me hence why my other console got moved on.

Just over a month till one of the biggest games launches and I couldn't be more excited (unless it was Gears haha).

I've had quite the opposite experience on my ONE.



I've got 11 full games and a couple of the smaller ones and the graphics really stand out.



The ONE makes even "FIFA '14" look amazing and that's saying something.



The only game that looks a little "last gen" is "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag" when you have to look at the faces and you can tell that they're using last gen character models on a next gen console. The actual game it'self looks brilliant though. Check

I really notice how good the ONE is when I go back to my 360 and the games which were greatest and best on there look not quite as good as stuff like "FIFA" and "Need for Speed", let alone "Ryse", "Tomb Raider" and "Forza".

As long as the rumors are true and we get Halo 2, I will be happy about my X1 forever.

 

had my xbox 360 since 2005..traded it a week before ONE launch, picked up launch night ONE, sold it the next morning for a tidy profit....

Was letting all the neg comments get to me and did not purchase another ONE....Until I realized how whiny everyone can be on the net....and finally listened to friends who have gotten ONE (including two IT guys who run big companies in NY) and talking with
a few engineers..one of whom is MY engineer on the nationally syndicated radio show I produce for a living..

I say all this to back up what I have experienced in the last few days I have enjoyed the new ONE I got last tuesday from Costco..

I decided to go all in on the ONE...and use it the way MS intended......and now I know why they designed a BIG box with no power supply inside, plenty of space and a large fan...I know why they designed a console with a different architecture other than
a massive heat producing CPU/GPU....

They designed it to be left on for extended periods..just like a PC, just like my cable box DVR, just like every heat producing box in my house......They designed it to run on voice commands....so when an incoming phone call comes in, I merely have to say
"xbox mute" without searching for a remote....They designed it so I can be watching TV..and with a few simple voice commands, I could check friends stats and see if they are on LIVE so I could start gaming..

yes, it is not perfect....yes, the voice commands could use more selection for TV, yes it could use more features.....yes yes yes....It is not perfect...

BUT, I have seen their vision, played Forza and snapped TV to keep track of the Olympics, and done all kinds of great things with it...and the more I use it, the better it gets as I learn the commands....It is has been on almost 5 days straight, runs cooler
than my PC and DVR and has not glitched once or overheated.....

to be honest, I don't know if I could go back to a strict gaming machine......and I can't wait for 2 years to fly by to see what new innovative stuff MS brings to the table

Madden doesnt release a heap of content, ever, Forza is a cash grab, Ryse is a new IP which has content coming, and BF4 had to release content quick to justify buying that POS game. Maybe you should play something besides those 4 games. You might be surprised

[/quote]Oh Im sorry but Im not made of $$$$ OR I don't have parents that buy me every game on the shelf, I bought 5 games an because I felt a bit ripped off on all 5 except for maybe BF4 an Forza5 I really really didn't want to buy another BAD game, $60 X 5

Very very well said!!!! You have to be one of the most sensible people on these forums (I did say "one of the", so calm down people) I agree 100% with what you said. I could never go back to a regular console. Truly amazing what they
created with the voice commands. I wasn't to impressed with the 1st Kinect but man they hit a homerun on the Kinect 2.0 (my personal opinion) The future looks amazingly bright!!

I myself am feeling very satisfied with my purchase. I'm enjoying every second I get to play and am positive things will only get better. I'm excited for the future !
