Love being a beta tester for M$!

Seriously though, so sick of this BS. Absolute junk of a system, should've gone PS4...

It's always been the same with M$ which is why I ditched W10. Send the poorly coded *** out, let the users report bugs, patch.

Anyway, on top of my network issues, I've now got an additional problem with Forza 6. I had a minor issue with it previously (which wasn't really worth reporting) but since the latest update to Forza 6, it's no longer at it's previous state and always restarts.
My One is set to always-on so I could always switch back to Forza and continue where I left off. The previous issue was, first time, every time, multiplayer would error. Trick was to go back to the home screen, enter the sub-menu and quit the game. Re-launching
it would then be fine. The latest update causes Forza 6 to restart. You see what the problem is? Go to play online, launch Forza, wait for it to do the intro, launch multiplayer, wait for it to time out, quit, relaunch. AWESOME.

Hello. All my life I've bought every Microsoft/Xbox console and tons of games and accessories. Being a beta tester for Microsoft would be the fantastic thing ever. I would love to be a beta tester for current and future consoles, games, and accessories for

Totally agree bro BF3 had many issues too but wtf.? I don't like being an alpha tester never mind beta especially for 60 bucks kinda sad really as I LOVE Battlefield.

 

Hi can you please provide details of the network issues you are experiencing? It sounds like if the network issues get resolved it will hopefully resolve your Forza 6 issues as well.

The network issues relate to turning on and off the console with the smartglass app as per another thread I've started.

I just had a play with it again and the app takes ~5 goes to automatically connect (have to force quit the application and relaunch to try get it to auto-connect each time).

I also went into the power settings and changed to eco-mode, restarted from the power menu, changed back to always-on, restarted again. I removed the console from the smartglass app, connected successfully using auto-discover, successfully turned the console
off, couldn't turn it back on.

IT JUST DOESN'T WORK.

You indicate that there was an update to Forza 6 is that correct? If so the problem may be with the game itself and not the console. Try deleting the game and re-downloading it.

 

I'm not going to that extreme at this stage.

Friend's also have the issue with multiplayer failing the first time after being launched but they don't have their console set to instant-on to tell me whether they're also having the issue with Forza restarting each time they go into it.

I'm going to play with DNS settings (just found out my ISP's DNS server is down) and see if there's any changes.

 

If you are not going to answer the questions or try the suggestions then why come here and rant? BTW, I use Windows 10 on a number of different machines very successfully. It is a BIG improvement on 8.0 and 8.1. Go ahead and move to PS4 and Linux. You

I'll hugely inconvenience myself by starting from scratch only to confirm I have the same issue.

The reason for the rant is the issue is a common one and I'm here to whinge so M$ take notice and hopefully do something about it. You know, similar to W10 where you submit error reports? (which are non-optional now).

 

Deleting games and reinstalling them resolves a number of issues that are game specific and from what you have posted this issue could very well be game specific. You are correct, it may not work but it could and that is what troubleshooting issues is all
about. It helps to rule out what don't work while attempting to find out what does. Good Luck!
