Lotr Third age on 360

Hi, I just bought a copy of third age for xbox hoping to play on my 360, but it says it doesn’t support it! It is on the list of back compatible games, after doing some Googling I read it needs an original hard drive which I am using. The only thing I can’t do is download any updates that might be required. What I want to know before I buy a wireless adapter and connect to live to get whatever updates, will it then work? Or am I missing something else?

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King from the original Xbox is compatible with 360 indeed. Also, don't know exactly why is it showing as not supported. Probably needs an internet connection for some kind of update. Worth the try, but I cannot guarantee it will, but it should.

I have the same problem as OP, who was asking about LotR the Third Age, not Return of the King. I recently updated the Xbox 360 console with a USB stick, and the problem has not been resolved.

The game is on the backwards compatible list, so I find it frustrating to find out that this is not actually compatible

No that was an hack and slash, action adventure game, LOTR War in The North is going to be more like LOTR the third Age meets Dark Souls

Is this game an original xbox title?.

Check this list in the link OP, if its on here and you have a HDD it should work fine.
