Lost Xbox account

Hi, I have an old Xbox live account that I am trying to reset. About 6 years ago my friend played a really mean prank on me and changed my Xbox live account email, "I had my email password saved to my computer" I tried to reset it by filling out an "recover
account information" form. every time I got an email saying I didn't have enough information to reset my account. I ended up making a new one and forgot about the old one. But I recently bought an Xbox one, When I signed in and tried to download my games,
I found out that most of them where owned by my old account. I ended up buying Minecraft and a couple other games so i could play them on my Xbox one. Now i am up to current time trying to reset it so I don't have to buy the rest of the games. I know that
there is now way to gust "get" my email. I looked around for similar cases but all of the responses are, "trying to hack are you", and "lol look a scammer". So please look at this and don't jump to hacker or scammer, please.

Xbox has made me lose my game progress

So recently Xbox store would not load and it kept telling me that I should restart the system. So I did and now all my progress has been completely lost for everything not with a backed up account. So I have lost quite a bit of Fallout 4 progress. Please can someone help?

Lost Xbox account

Hey there,

I got a "small" problem: My parents lost their Xbox account. Thus, I can't purchase anything even though it might be okay for them. All they know is the alternate e-mail-address and the gamertag...

If you're trying to find a solution, please note that I don't have an Xbox - I am using my account for Windows Phone.

Did the complete opposite, had 84 games owned and now have 21. Lost all my apps, lost the game pass, lost Xbox gold, and lost my other account. Fml

I'm sorry to hear the recovery form was rejected for you. The recovery form is the last resource available to us when we want to recover a lost account.

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble accessing your recent account. This may happen if your Xbox series x is not set as your home console, or if you have signed in with a different Microsoft account than the one you used for your recent account. To fix this issue, please follow these steps:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization > My home Xbox.

3. If your console is not set as your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox. If it is already set as your home Xbox, select Remove this as my home Xbox and then select Make this my home Xbox again.

4. Press the Xbox button again to return to the guide.

5. Select Profile & system > Add or switch > Add new.

6. Enter the email address and password of the Microsoft account that you used for your recent account and sign in.

7. Check if you can access your downloads and everything on your recent account.

As long as you remember you account details you should be able to just download your profile again.

Once you do that you can then re download your games.

As long as you were connected to xbox live then all of your saves are backed up on the cloud & will download the saves when you start a game.
