lost sound

Console was working fine yesterday. when I turned on this afternoon there was no sound. had been using optic cord into my receiver. When I switch to hdmi sound works fine. No previous issues. I unplugged power going in the console and brick waited about
15 minutes, and still nothing. any help appreciated.

Well After some more "EvilEmpire" searching i found a "fix" I held the right trigger and the Y button down on a reboot and "Voila" I had sound again?? It seems after my update it was having issues recognizing the HDMI cable and holding these down worked??

hmm....try clearing your system cache.

you can do this by going to "settings" > "memory" then while hovering over hard drive, press Y then click "Clear system cache"

if the problem persists, you may need the console to be serviced, but i would do more research and keep trying to get the sound yourself

The only thing I can think of is do a hard reset on the console so everything will be reset and try it again.Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console
for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

Did as you suggested, but it did not correct the problem. Thank you for your help

 

Too bad, sorry it didn't help. If I come up with any ideas I will post back.
