    Lost signal on hdr10 ??


    Hi community, I am hoping you guys could help me, the day before yesterday i watch a movie on hbo max, the problem was before start the movie my tv showed me that it was going to be configured for better quality. The problem is that after that happened my tv lost the signal and the screen went black constantly, when checking the tv settings everything was in order and it's not that the tv is old, yesterday I realized that the hdr10 option was active on in my xbox do you think that is it? I have an xbox one x and my tv barely gives the 4k upscaled

    You guys Do you think I should disable that option? Does hdr10 make a difference?

    Most TVs require you to manually enable HDR support, please consult your instruction manual to find out how. Yes it does make a difference, better blacks and brighter richer colors

    It depends which HDR+ you are referring to:

    - HDR+ (found on older models): My understanding is this is basically a fake HDR....the TV interprets and SDR signal and then extrapolates it to an HDR image. Basically, found on cheaper models;

    - HDR10+ (found on newer models): This is, in essence, HDR but with some extra bits thrown in. The image is still the same quality, it just has extra. This article explains the differences between normal HDR10 and HDR10+:

    UPDATE: It's a HDR issue and you have to turn off hdr10 in the xbox settings which is bad since HDR is lost. It also appears the UHD version is in standard definition.

    It may just be that you do not have the setting correct on your television/console please see
