Lost serial number sticker, shop refuses to fix damaged controller

    Hello!

So a year and 2 months ago i bought a xbox 360 controller to play fifa and sadly like 3 months ago the cable of the controller was acting weird, constantly disconnecting and so on. I decided to contact with the store finally like a month ago and today I've
received a photo with my controller and lack of the sticker that was necessary for them and they told me that the product won't be fix due to lack of this sticker with serial number. I wonder if the manufacturer haven't thought about it - while using the controller
often hands get sweaty and simply the sticker fell off and it couldn't stick back. Also letters were so blurred that the number was literally impossible to read. I am aware that I should have thought about it but is there any way to fix it and get my controller
fixed? I live in Poland, on the store I can see THE ONLY order I have ever taken in this store and there is my real name, how much money I've paid but store is like "whatever" and will not fix the product for me, because of some stupid sticker, it sounds silly
to me. Is there anyone that knows if microsoft would accept it somehow or someone that had similar problem and somehow managed to get it done?

    :)

Broken elite controller stick, can't use the serial number to register and get a replacement.

I have a broken R-Stick on my elite controller, I want to replace it but every time I enter the serial number it dosn't work. I have read online that elite controllers serial numbers don't work. How do I enter the serial number?

Xbox Elite Controller Registration w/o Xbox Console

My Xbox elite controller is becoming faulty and the left thumb stick is now loose and leaning more to the right. i want to register my controller but without a Xbox console. calling customer support (2 hours) did nothing to help and trying to register on
Microsoft device support resulted in the serial number not being recognized under the product family. I refuse to buy a an Xbox one or another elite controller. What are my options?

The label is underneath the battery, so it should not be in contact with sweaty hands.

The label also is there as a security feature.

Forgot to say. The controller isn't wireless, it's the one with wire, so basically how it looks:

the space inside the cyan circle is the place where the sticker with serial number should be.

this is how controller looks. Space in cyan circle is the place where sticker is supposed to be. It is wired controller, not wireless.

My apologies, I mistook it for a wireless controller.

The label missing is also designed to cover the fastener in the cyan circle. That is one of the security features.

Yeah so if it is missing it is basically impossible for shop/manufacturer to fix the controller or there is some another way? My situation is rather hopeless because the small piece of paper just got unable to read because I was
using controller a lot and I guess sweat and other conditions affected the serial number, it fell off at some point (I remember it was moving a little one day, so the glue had to weaken or something) and now I'm here Lost serial number sticker, shop refuses to fix damaged controller :(. I haven't messed around the controller
trying to fix it by myself or something. Is there any hope for me to get the product fixed? I would be the most grateful person in the entire universe to be honest if there was a way to fix the controller, those were some bad news when I heard about the shop
not accepting it for rma :/

Self repair is considered tampering. Have you looked at buying another controller via your local retailer? There are many licensed available.

Well it isn't like really cheap product so I of course thought about having it repaired, but this serial number made my plans go away. I didn't tried to repair it by myself, this "security thing" just felt off, so it isn't so perfect, I didn't even try to
get it off, it has just fallen of the controller at some point. Of course I could buy a new one but I am not going to, that's for sure.

Please don't mistake my comment as accusing you of trying to self repair. I just wanted to make sure it was mentioned.

Just keep in mind, if the controller is out of warranty, you would be responsible for the repair cost.

A replacement controller would be a much less expensive alternative.

Go grab a new controller and happy gaming. Lost serial number sticker, shop refuses to fix damaged controller :)
