    Lost Saved Games While Resetting Xbox One Console


    Hello.

    Working with Xbox Support today tried to resolve a problem with the System Time resetting each boot-up on my Xbox One.

    Rep had me RESET the Xbox One console to factory defaults. Even though I selected the option to "Keep all games and apps", after completing the procedure I had lost TEN DAYS WORTH OF SAVED GAMES!! The saved games were for Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt.

    My Geralt went from a Level 33 (almost ready for Mastercraft gear) back down to a Level 20! It is VERY FRUSTRATING!

    Does anyone know how to recover the saved games - or are they gone forever? With the Xbox 360 I could - and did - periodically backup my saved games to USB flash drive. I guess that is no longer possible with the Xbox One?

    Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. Your console syncs with Xbox Live automatically when it’s connected with the
    service, so if you've been offline for a while, you'll need to connect to Xbox Live before taking these steps    .

    Major problem with xbox

    Resetting your console to its factory defaults should be used as last resort for it erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost, yet sometimes it solves hard disc issues.

    Lost Saved Games While Resetting Xbox One Console

    As long as you were connected to the internet and live when you last saved your game it would have been saved to the cloud automatically and when you start the game back up it would then sync your saved game from the cloud.

    Nope, cloud saves are deleted only if you manually delete them
