Lost save? Game overwrite with new one...

Hola Cubical ! If deleted or overwrited the game save , the last progression is lost for ever.

Unless there's an option in game to load an earlier save then i'm afraid it's lost .

When you're connected to live then it will always upload your latest save overwriting the previous one on the cloud.

You missed the point entirely.

Xbox Life Cloud Save continued syncing with my local Xbox One hard drive every time I started the game. The complete safe was never lost, otherwise the sync would have restored it.

When part of my information disappeared, the sync still happened, but treated the new version -- with the missing data -- as official, and overwrite the other save (that was not missing anything) with the one that was.

Cloud save worked to back up my save, but could not recognize that my save had mysteriously lost some data.

Ok, I'll give that a try this morning. I have a question...if I start a new game, does that overwrite my old save?

Question 2: can I start a new game on a different account and create a new save without overwriting my older save on the other account?

The problem lies with the new patch saves overwriting pre-patch save games. I copied my saves to a thumb drive before testing and can repeat the problem every time.

1: Backup your saves to a thumb drive or the cloud drive. (optional, but last thing I want is a corrupted file)

2: Save in a NEW slot (important)

3: Delete the three Auto-Save slots

4: From here you can create new saves and overwrite those without locking up.

This bug is mission-agnostic. I completed The Waking Nightmare with auto-save off and it still locked up after I tried to overwrite an old game.

At the moment, you cannot write a 1.8 patch save over a pre-patch game. Once I removed my old saves, I was able to save new, overwrite, and auto-save with no problems.

I haven't tried Kentucky's solution yet, but it sounds like a good idea (backup your files!).
