Lost Save Data

This has also happened to me. I have now had to play the Ginso Tree boss and beat it twice because my game would not save, even though it said game saved after the cut scene following the end of the tree. I spent about another hour in the next area saving
and saving and saving and it still didn't save correctly. Really frustrating.

 

Only support I have been able to get from Moon Studio is via Twitter. Here is what they sent in reply;

@paulbutler252 this might happen but is extremely rare and is remedied in the upcoming patch.

@OriBlindForest I lost at least 4 hours worth of progress this last time. Do I just not play anymore until the patch?

@OriBlindForest Is there anything that can be done to restore my progress? 4+ hours is a lot to redo. How do I know it won't happen again?

And I'm still waiting for a response via Twitter, I even emailed *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** on the 19th, nothing on that end either.

 

Just wondering if anyone has a fix? Played it all morning for hours and now back where I started at. I can't even bring myself to do it again!

 

I've had the exact same issue with ORI. lost about 20 percent of my progress.

 

It REALLY blows because the game itself is truly amazing. I just can't bring myself to do the last 4 hours of play again.... Not now at least.

 

Happening here too, lost 3+ hours of game play. So I'm staying off for now. If I unlocked achievements I would hope to god that they can figure out how to stich things together and restore our lost data

 

I just lost half an hour of progress. This is now a second time and it's pretty frustrating. Good to hear that there is a patch on its way. I think I'm going to wait for that, because I don't want to risk having to play the same sequence for the fourth time.

Just happened to me, lost about a day worth of playing. Is there an ETA for the patch? Any recommendations on how to avoid the bug?

 

Be sure to quit to the main menu after you finish playing. It is impossible for me to prove that this method worked, but when I lost data, it reverted to the last time I had fully started the game as opposed to the "quick continue" feature. That led me
to hypothesize that it was this feature causing the issue. From then on, I quit to the main menu each time, and I was able to complete the game. Like I said, I can never be sure if it was this action that stopped the memory loss, but it is certainly worth
a try. I hope it helps!

Would like to get an ETA on the patch since its been almost a month

 

I had this happen to me. I was in the same position in the game but lost a few abilities and skills so was basically stuck with no way to go any further so will have to restart completely.

 

This is the first game I've played on my new xbox one. I played it all yesterday afternoon on my one day off work. I got back today loaded up the game and I'm right back were I started yesterday. I've made several saves at random places, turned off the
box and when I restart the xbox and play game I'm at that same place (7%).

Thanks for spoiling my first xbox one experience.

 

Patch is coming this or next week according to tweets on their official twitter stream... Ori the Game on Twitter. Hopefully this sorts out all the issues, as I want to jump in as well.
