Lost purchases for a game after changing my Gamertag

same here, I changed my gamertag and lost my purchase history..

I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Minecraft game.

Based on your description, the error suggests that the system can't find the Minecraft game license on your Microsoft account.

Your Minecraft account must have migrated to the original email address where it was first created.

In order to fix this, you will need to find the Microsoft account where your Minecraft was migrated and where your Minecraft game license was purchased.

Note: After the migration, the Minecraft transaction should appear under the Microsoft account's order history regardless if the game was purchased on the Mojang website before.

Kindly sign in to all of your email accounts on account.microsoft.com > order history > select the date of range when you purchased your Minecraft game in 2011.

From there, check if you have the Minecraft transactions. If you have found the transactions, use the same Microsoft account to log out and re-login to the Microsoft Store and Minecraft Launcher.

If you're unable to find the Minecraft game transaction, this can only mean that the game was purchased on a different email account. Please check your other Microsoft email accounts' order history.

Also, since I cannot sign in with my original GamerTag, I cannot transfer licences of my purchased games to my new GamerTag. So it seems, as I thought, every single game I've ever purchased in the past 8 years is gone. All my full games, arcade games and
all my DLC is lost, unless by some miracle it becomes backwards compatible with the Xbox One.

I also cannot transfer my game saves to the cloud for BC games, such as Gears of War.

If this is the case, and I genuinely have lost all my purchases, I will, for the first time ever, be disappointed in Microsoft. I can't help but feel my profile "corruption" is their fault, or at least on their end. And I would like something done if I have
indeed lost every purchase, because all that money.... wasted.

if you are assigned with a new gamertag upon signing, it could be that:

-You are signing in with an email address (MSA) that has not yet been signed into an Xbox website or console

-an issue with the MSA that you are using, it may have been deleted or removed due to inactivity, so when you sign into that email address, it is giving you a new gamertag like you have never used that email before

but I highly suspect that you are simply signing in using a different email address. If you need further assistance, please contact support, and provide them your original gamertag. They may be able to verify your account and if possible, be able to provide
your original MSA.
