Lost purchase after closed account

I have bought some games on two different accounts and asked them to be merged because it was annoying to have different accounts. Not sure what happened exactly at that time (it was years ago) but now I am trying to find the games and the email on the purchase confirmation did not have an xbox account. I have therefore created it, but it does not bring back the purchase. What can I do to recover the purchase?

That information it's in the link, digital content it's part of a Microsoft service, and it's linked to the Microsoft account, that's also why it says that you should spend any Microsoft balance remaining

Closing a Microsoft account means you won’t be able to use it to sign in to the Microsoft products and services you’ve been using. It also deletes all the services associated with it

This can't be true? if you have thousands of digital purchase, everything is lost? I still have the proof of purchase, there should be a way to reinstate them. How can we contact MS directly?

This is why you DONOT DELETE AN account

As mentioned accounts cannot be merged

Accounts can't be merge, if you deleted the Microsoft account linked to those purchases you will need to purchase again as all purchases are also deleted with the account
