Lost Pre-paid card - UK - Help!

So I purchased a£25 prepaid card for my son's birthday and he lost it in all the excitement and gift wrap. I have the card number on the receipt, but not the activation code. The store say they are just the re-seller and to contact Xbox. Xbox say there is
nothing they can do and to contact the store....... Help!

Yeah,the retailer is trying to fob you off.

Take the receipt back to the retailer & it's down to them to give you the activation code.

What shop did you get it from?

If they keep the pre-paid cards available for buying and increasing the virtual , it is fine. But if it means you MUST use a credit card for payment, then they've just lost a "couple" of customers. Not all people have credit cards.

Hi there,

You can use pre-paid cards, but you would need to make sure the billing information for the card matches the billing information on you account. Not all pre-paid cards let you update that information.
