Lost phone number and password

I understand you need help recovering your account.

If you forgot the email to your account, you can try recovering that here:

If you are trying to recover the account but do not have access to the security proofs from the account, you can use the recovery form:

https://account.live.com/acsr

Just a heads up that recovering an account email needs to have access to the security proofs that the email has because without access to those information, it will be difficult to recover the username.

Did you set up an alternate e-mail address, or only the phone number? We on the forums have no way to help with your account details, including password. You will have to go to Reset your password and enter your email address. Reset your password

1. Tell us where you’d like us to send a security code (email or phone number).
   
2. Once you receive your security code, you’ll be prompted to choose a new password and enter it twice. Passwords should be at least 8 characters long and should contain a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
   

If it goes to send a code to the inactive phone number, click on Use a different verification option to see if there is an alternate e-mail. Or, if you know the password to your e-mail, and you can receive the code there, do so. If not, you'll need to click I don't have any of these and it will take you to the account recovery.

You're welcome. They should be able to do something about it. If not, that is their final resolution. I'm really sorry about it. It would be best to fill out the form with all the correct information possible.

Oh I tried that and it said they can’t get me with someone live for this issue and it just told me to do the recovery form and dident work
