Lost over half of my Gamerscore

Discus and support Lost over half of my Gamerscore in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I've just got on my Xbox and had a game on Rocket League, unlocked the achievement for scoring my first goal...     Lost over half of my Gamerscore


    I've just got on my Xbox and had a game on Rocket League, unlocked the achievement for scoring my first goal... Which is strange after 1000 hours.

    Go to check my achievements and I see that my 110000+ gamerscore is now 52948 gamerscore.

    As far as I can tell, every achievement is still unlocked, but the gamerscore has just vanished.

    What's happened here? Can i fix it?

    Edit: it seems a whole bunch of people are having this exact problem, it's probably an Xbox thing rather than a Me thing.

    Edit 2: if you unlock a new achievement, it seems to fix the problem. Don't know if this is a long term fix or just temporary.

    My son and his friend were playing Rocket League (4:30 eastern time) and they both lost all their Gamer Points. Was this a glitch and will it be fixed?

    Hard reset did nothing.

    I had my friend check and he see's my gamerscore lower as well.

    I did a chat with an expert gamer, after looking into it this was the reply:

    No official news as of the moment about the reset of gamerpoints. Please assure your son that he is not the only one experiencing this. It'll sort itself out. Since achievements are kept online it goes
    down from time to time. Give it a moment it'll bounce back

    Probably a caching issue or a temporary achievement serverm Normally clears up pretty fast. If caching issue then worth trying a hard reset (hold power button down for 10 seconds).
