Lost my account

I recently purchased an Xbox One and Halo 5 off the market store, being an old Xbox 360 user, I figured that this purchased would be awesome. I play for a day and everything is good. I go over to a friends place, try to sign in on his 360 with my account,
and it says "someone else is signed in" and doesn't let me log in . "well that weird" I think, but also don't really mind. It gives me the option to basically shut down my account to make sure no one uses it and just to wait until I get home and fix it on
my PC.

I got to fix it later and apparently my account is under an email that I no longer use, because in the couple years between 360 to One, I switched from yahoo to Gmail. Well apparently I cant get access to the yahoo because none of my passwords I use work.
And I cant use the phone code because my old phone was stolen, I had to get a new one and switch companies, its a big mess. But not it turns out I cant get into the email, which mean I cant get into my Live account.

I've tried over and over to do resets for both but nothing work, so I call Lives number for help. After about a 20 min "support" session(essentially me saying my problems and the dude basically doing nothing), the man helping me says to just make a new account
and not be forgetful with it. A new account. I just spent around $400 and have $300+ of games tied to my account. I understand that you have really tight security, but this is my account. I can give you proof, trust me. I can have friends stick up for me on
this, if need be.

Listen I know this is long and its really late, but I just want my account back. I've had it for years and have a lot of games and even the freaking avatar stuff. I've spent well over $1000 on Microsoft and its products, and basically they are saying for
me to just make a new account and buy it all again. This isn't right. I'm almost to the point of giving up and selling it. Please Microsoft. Please help me.

there isn't anybody else only support and windows live support. all i can suggest is try to remember your email and password.

If you do not know the email address of your gamertag give support a call. They'll ask you some account specific questions. If you can answer them, they'll give you the email. From there, if you don't know the password you can follow the link posted by
medium bloke above.

Great, just found out that the reason I cant access my old email is because it was hacked while from a forum for a PC game called Archeage during a time i loaned it to a friend. So now not only can I not recover it, being that the hacker changed my info,
but not I may have been hacked here too. Great

 

That's really unfortunate and a good example of why you should never give your login info to anyone. Have you tried contacting Yahoo support to open a case with them? It's no guarantee but they may be able to help you.

As for the gamertag, give phone support a call again and open an Unauthorized Access Ticket. They will lock out the gamertag while they investigate the claim.

You should also speak to your friend about replacing the value of the content you lost.
