    lost my 360 account, and don't remember the password, but cannot change the password.


    I had forgotten the password to my account "Legoshifour" and have tried for a year or so on and off to get it back, to no avail. It is apparently because the email associated with the account is Hotmail, which makes the verification to change my password extremely, needlessly complicated. Asking for things I can't do no matter what, ex: "What are the exact subject lines of emails you've sent and received?" I don't send emails on that email, AND, that email was lost to an old phone's charger port breaking, so dead end :/

    Can somebody help me get it back? There are games I bought on that account that I want back.

    It looks like the account is truly gone until I can somehow guess the password again.. Thanks, though.

    I'm really sorry about this issue. All the steps you can take to recover a lost account can be seen here:

    If after following the steps outlined on both URLs above you still cannot recover your account - and as you mentioned, you are not being able to recover it using the recovery form too - unfortunately it is conceivable that you really lost access to your account.

    No Microsoft employee can help users recovering their accounts. They only send you the above articles I sent or instruct you on how to fill the recovery form. They are not allowed and have no access to change anything on a user account. I hope you understand. I do not work for Microsoft and I do not have access to user accounts too.

    Hey MonkeyMan! If the WLID no longer exists, you can try contacting phone support for help, but most likely you would need to create a new WLID and GT. Sorry for the confusion.

    Hello, since you lost the email/password to that account, you cannot verify it to change your password to that account, hence you lost the email. The best thing to do is call 1800-4My-Xbox to see if they can do anything about it. :)
