Lost gamertag when signing in to my xbox one account using my pc

I have had a microsoft account from last year when my sons received their xbox one as a present. However, it seems one of the children deleted the account / profile or something from the xbox console. I have signed in again using my pc and it seems that
the original profile xbox gold account has been deleted from my profile when I sign in using the pc . It is now all available on the console.

When I signed into the account today using my pc I was prompted to create a new profile before I could progress further. Can someone advise as to how I can access the original profile on my account on the pc to allow me to use that to download games through
the pc?

I have tried to change the gamertag but it does not show the option of my original profile gamertag.

linked account renamed and all save games lost

I am new to xbox live, and had numerous saves and points on my account. I went through th eprocess of converting this to an xbox live account but then was having trouble signing in. I tried signing in from my PC and it said that I needed to change my password
which I have done, and at the same time changed my gamertag to one that I wanted. When I went back to my xbox and signed it it has lost all of my saves and gamer points. IS there any way to get these back?

360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?

WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

Base from the description you mentioned. It seems that you're trying to sign in using a different email. That's the reason why you're being asked to create a new profile. You need to sign in the right and only email that has been used when you first created
the account. That means the one you're using is not the right one.

I could suggest trying to get in touch with the support to try to verify which email to use to sign in the right account. Good luck on recovering the account

Hi Bentendo,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. We recommend to try and
uninstall and reinstall the profile. If this is on an Xbox one. If on PC try signing out, power down the PC then when back on sign back into the Xbox app.

I'm sorry but this doesn't address the problem.

When on my XBox One, my gamertag is "A" which is linked to email "X".

On my PC, when I log into my Microsoft account from my PC, my gamertag is "B" which is also linked to email "X". This happened when I added XBox Gold to my PC.

When logging into XBox Live on the PC with email "X", I only see gamertag "A".

Thanks for your reply,

The last time I used my old account was on my xbox one, and the last thing I did was to transfer my game's to my new xbox series x.

When I got my xbox series x,

The first thing I did was to sign in but what appeared was the new gamertag.

I didn't change my gamertag myself, it just appeared,

My gamertag plus #701 on the end of it.

After I transferred my game's I restored to factory settings my xbox one, then sold it.

I have never received any enforcement action at any time.

I'm just puzzled as to how I have this new account.

I must say though, I can't remember the last time I physically signed in because I was permanently signed in, I've always just turned on my xbox and my gamertag/avatar appeared on screen.

But when I signed in to my new xbox series x I was prompted to choose a new picture for my gamertag.

So obviously when I tried to play any of my games they would start at the very beginning.

All progress lost.

I've tried to delete my account and start again but when I try, it just goes to this new account.

I can only assume that I forgot my password for my old account and created a new one, and I must have created a new account by accident.

I can't think of anything else that may help you to help me.
