lost Gamertag after last update

The last XBOX1 update signed everyone out of our console. No problem for those of us who remember our IDs and passwords. But my son cannot remember his windows email or gamertag; He entered all this a year ago and hasn't had to think of it since; now
with this update it seems all his saved data is gone. Is there any way to discover it?

It has started....resets in Judgment

I had all my campaign stats, cog tags, all stars on all levels, declassified missions, reset after each of the last two updates. My wife lost half of what I lost.

Your son's best option to recover his Gamertag is to attempt to sign in with possible e-mail addresses. If purchases were made on the account
Phone/Chat support might be able to look deeper into the account, but generally the only way you'll be able to access the account is to remember the used e-mail address.

I had few performance issues in the game after the last update, but apparently my world was corrupted and I lost it...

Hey Jungtaki -

I'm not 100% sure I understand the issue you are experiencing. Is there input lag between the controller and the console or is it taking a couple minutes for your controller to sync to your console? First thing to try is

power cycling your console as that can often clear up a lot of weird things. If that doesn't work, try connecting your controller to your console with a USB cable to see if that helps.

Hellfire IRL

It's a known issue, did you play Single Player before mulitplayer and then lost the save, or is this just a single player save from the past? Reason I ask is, this problem was fixed for me after the last update.
