Lost gamer points due to sold console that shop never cleared

This is the profile I saw when I looked at recent player list and viewed details.

This is old avatar from my old black Xbox one.

Ive gotten somewhere by doing some digging around in the account.xbox.com site \

1. i clicked on your gamertag in this post it brought up this profile page Sign in to your Microsoft account

2. while on my profile page i searched for the WildIrishRover gamer tag and it brought up this profile page Sign in to your Microsoft account

Which are two different profiles i looked and looked at both gamertags and couldn't tell the difference what i did do is this i copied the two gamer tags and pasted them into notepad and this is what i came up with

this Sign in to your Microsoft account gamer tag is actually WiIdIrishRover the third letter in this gamer tag is actually a caipital I as in igloo

when i actually searched for the account WildIrishRover with the third letter being a l as in larry it came up with the Sign in to your Microsoft account profile so that is the difference between the two
accounts the third letter in the two accounts is different so if you think that other account should be your account you can contact xbox support with the gamer tag that has the 3rd letter as the L and if they can verify ownership of the account then they
can give you the email thats associated with the account

As the gamertags are so close, would it be possible to request for a free gamer tag change...is that a possibility?

Is there a mod here that is enabled to do that?

Or request it for me, or outline the process involved.

The only time that you would be eligible for a free gamer tag change is when you setup an account and the system automatically generates a gamertag for you at any point that you are still using that initial gamertag that Microsoft assigned to you then you
would get your first gamertag change for free if during the initial setup you get to pick a gamertag of your choosing or you have changed it for free at some other point then you would have to pay for any subsequent gamertag change at that point.

Sorry when I say the same account I mean the exact same Gamer Tag.

So in the same game lobby in Call of Duty WWII I played on the same team.

I took a screenshot of the game lobby to prove it.

I have double checked it over and over.

And if I look up my gamer tag it is showing my old avatar and not my new one. And it had the majority of my gamer points 12,303.

On my new console my gamer tag shows 300 odd gamer points.

It can not be the exact same gamertag there has to be some suttle difference in them again you can not be signed in with the same email and password on an xbox one console at the same time otherwise it will kick you out you can only be signed into one same
type of console at the same time ie.. one xbox one (whether it be a original xbox one, xbox one S, or xbox one X) or one 360 at a time now you can be signed into a 360 and an xbox one at the same time but not one of the same type.

And since COD WW2 is only on the ONE there is no way that you could possibly be signed into the same account on two different consoles so again there has to be a suttle difference in the gamertag somewhere.

Keep in mind with gamertags the system does not see spaces nor capitalization in gamertags so for instance gamertag, GamerTag, gamer tag, GAMERtag would all be the same account

But gam3rtag would be different then any of those

now when you signed in with your new console did you sign in with the same email and password that you had on your original account?

Did it make you create a new account?

When you got on your new console did it give you a different gamertag then you had on your old console then you picked a new one?

and like bowski477 said if its the same email account for both accounts once you go into account.live.com and change your password the other console should then require them to put the new password in when signing into the account and if they dont know it
then they wont be able to sign into that account. if they are still signing in after you changed the password then the email thats associated with that gamertag that they're signing into is not the same email as is on your current account.

I don't know what account I used in my old one. Just can't remember.

I believe I used the same one on the new one though, but cannot be 100% sure.

And I had my account not prompt for password.

Although I have since changed my password and also set the account to prompt for password every time on the Xbox now.

And just to clarify. Both are Xbox one's.

My old one was the original black Xbox One.

My new one is an Xbox One S.

And the gamer tags ARE the same.

I understand you say that they should never be.

But they are.

To me anyhow until there is some other logical explanation.

Is that okay?

Or should I wait for an official MS staff member and then send privately.
