Lost game saves after cache clear

Hi. I have been playing Starfield since 17th Sept on Xbox Series X. Recently problems with lagging and stuttering game play lead me to do a cache clear. I made sure to select the option to keep all games and saved data. When the reset was complete, all my games were still present but my saves for Starfield were gone. I tried the option to delete and reload the game from tye cloud but that didn’t restore my Starfield game saves. Do I have any other options to restore my progress? At present my only option is to start a new game.

Probably at that moment your internet connection has failed.

At this time, there are no other options available to restore your games and if you want to continue playing Starfield, your only option is to start a new game. However, if you want to maintain your progress, you can try contacting Microsoft support to see if they can help you.

One piece of advice I could give you is to try not to clear the cache again, but if the problem persists I recommend that you help Xbox by reporting the problem through the following link:

Click the green button that says "Report" and fill out the information as detailed as possible.

This way, Xbox can know there is a problem and can work to resolve it as soon as possible.

I cleared system cache, and I lost Saved Games?

It actually happened.. I went to storage, then I press Y to choose between format, clear system cache and all that.

I cleared system cache and I lost all my saved games.

Try to clear your system cache.

Follow this steps to clear your Xbox system cache:
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

After that, if the problem keeps happening, save your game on usb stick and update the game.

Even after that the problem stays there, Remove your game data from the console and reinstall it.

After re-installation, you should be able to load your saved game from the usb.

Have no worries, this is not something that you can personally fix. There is currently a Xbox LIVE Service Alert in regards to the situation you're experiencing. This issue seems to cover not being able to sign into Xbox LIVE properly, downloading your profiles,
and games and applications freezing or working very slowly.
