Lost Game progress after changing account alias

Hello folks from Microsoft,

After changing my account alias (e-mail that is used to log in) i lost completely all my Xbox games progress. The funny thing is that my accomplishments are still there but when i log in Forza Horizon 4 for exemple it always starts a new game.

Did you only change the associated E-mail, or the entire account?

Hello!

Thank you for keeping up with us. The progress for all your games is tied to a specific account. If you change the alias of the Microsoft account, it does not affect the game progress you have made with that account. Be sure to let us know the results!

So, that means I cannot use Yahoo Email Alpha (BROWN) on the new Microsoft Account (BLUE).

What about the rest of the plan? From what you wrote, it sounds like any game progress on the gamertag Purple is connected to Yahoo Email Alpha Brown. More specifically, if I delete the original primary alias does that mean the game history gets lost, even if a new primary alias is put in place?

Or, does the replacement of the Yahoo Email Alpha Brown with my son's new email (Beta White) as the primary alias enable the saving of game progress/data?
