Lost fallout 3 code

I preordered Fallout 4 and received a free code for Fallout 3 Via xbox live messages that I never got to redeem. This message was deleted from my messages after an xbox system update, the message was only a week old. I contacted xbox live support and
they sent me to Bethesda support who in turn sent me here.

i have fallout 4 that includes fallout 3 but lost the fallout 3 code and never got to download it anything i can do to get it?

Usually, Xbox Live messages cannot be retrieved once they have been deleted. Also remember that they expire after 30 days.

A member of the Xbox Forums Support team will reply here shortly to help get your code back though (but I can't promise that you'll get a new code/a reminder of your old code).
