Lost everything in Gears of War 2

Not sure if this has happened to anyone but today I found all info in my war journal was reset.

I was at lvl 93, with just over 93k kills. Been playing for months to get my last 2 achievements. Last night I logged in to play and found I was at lvl 1 with no kills. War journal shows I have 1625 acheive but all stats were reset to 0.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone, and if anyone may have help.

The reset glitch happened to loads of people on gears 3, not heard it happening so much on gears 2.

You could try signing out and re-downloading your profile from the dashboard, it may find your stats.

Have you ever backed up your save to the cloud?

tried to re download, didn't work. Called xbox but they said it was rare but happens and asked me to post here and maybe someone could help. I am going to have to get another drive to save important stuff on.

Have you tried any other games to see if your save files have gone from those?

The only ones that could really help are Epic, but it is very unlikely they could sort it out either.

gears 3 is fine.

Epic prob would even care now that they aren't doing the new gears.

getting to lvl 100 is going to be the killer.

It was a reasonably well know glitch back when the game released.

Did you by any chance leave the game from somewhere other than the main menu?

It was recommended at the time to always return to the main menu before leaving the game. Failing to do so ran the risk of resetting as you've experienced.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to get those stats back other than playing through again.
