lost data and profiles

I lost my game data and profiles after downloading an update and content for Battlefield 3. The storage device shows that is has data on it (space available), but when going to the dashboard-storage is shows zero Kb of profile data, game data, etc... all
profiles are missing from the dashboard. I downloaded my profile from XBOX live, so I was able to recover that...but as I stated...ALL game saves, updates, purchases, patches, are not accessible. Please assist...

By removing and adding our profiles again will the data on the account be lost

 

First of all clear the cache and see if that helps. If not turn off your console, unplug it from the power, remove the hard disc, re-insert it and open up your console.

 

Tried all. It fixed the internal drive, but did not fix the removable drive. Recovered profile is the only thing showing up on the external; otherwise, the external is in the same state. No access to saved game data or downloads.

 

does someone know how to recover this data?

 

Did the external hard drive crashed? Can you remove it safely and light shake it to here if sometging is loose or has come loose?

If you ain't enable to fix the external hard drive and you have not using the cloud drive to safe your gameplay then there is nothing you can to to restore the safedata.

To see if the hard drive is still working, and you have you resigned, re-format the hard drive.

the external works...as a matter of fact when I played BF3 again, it saved the data on that drive....all of the other drive info is not accessible.

 

Any chance that it can move some data (safed games) to a USB storage?

 

cant access the data. data doesn't show...only space used shows.

 

Can you try to reset the console to factory settings?

 

I don't know how far you are in the game processes but I think theres nothing left to do then re-format your hard drive to see if it still functioning correctly in the firt place. You can re-download all the DLC that what you have purchased, you can download
that again from your history list.

The safed games are lost then but not your achievements. A tip could be: store the safed games on the 4gig internal and the rest on your external.

 

thanks, but my many years of achievements are lost, all saved games, and there is no downloads in the history (I checked). This is going to suck!

 

Just to clarify, you are posting now with the account we are talking about? Because the history and the achievements are on the xbox live servers. Take off the hard drive and leave it for a while from the xbox. Download your profile again and see if you
can go to your history.

 

yes. for some reason when I downloaded my profile almost all of the achievements and all of the download history are gone!
