    "lost connection to host Gears of War 4"


    I purchased a copy of Gears of War 4 yesterday. It took nearly 12 hours to download the "update". Today, when I started to play the game, I chose "slot 1" for Save Slot. All 5 slots show "empty slot." An error messages appears as follows:

    ERROR

    You have been returned to the main menu.

    You have lost connection to the host.

    I see there have been numerous posts with the same problem, but I cannot seem to find a solution.

    Any ideas?

    No, it says "lost connection to host" instead of host migration when host turns off xbox or dashboards.

    System Link Trouble

    My boyfriend and I have been trying to use system link to play, and two days ago it worked perfectly. However, when trying it the next night it would say "Connection to host has been lost." We've tried clearing the cache but that hasn't seemed to work.
    System Link works fine with other games, such as Left 4 Dead, but the connection keeps getting lost with Gears. Does anyone have a fix for this?

    gears of war one has not lost online you have always been able host own ranked matches i can help as i can play online on all gears 1 throu to gears 3.

    Gears of War have always been a title where the host had a great advantage over others. Maybe you're just playing in rooms where there's a bad host or something up with your connection to the people you're playing with. There's certainly a lot of things
    that can affect hit detection in Gears of War 2.

    Hey there -

    If you're being disconnected from Xbox Live, it sounds possible that that is a network issue. Have you tried unplugging your home network and waiting a couple minutes before hooking it all back up? If not, try that first and let us know how that goes.
