    Lost cloud save for Outer Wilds


    Hi I have been playing Outer Wilds on Cloud Streaming on my phone for a few weeks and yesterday I installed the game on my PC and played for an hour before saving and quitting. When I loaded up the game on my phone today my save was gone. It was also gone when I tried to load it up on my PC. Is there any way to recover my save if it got overwritten because of a cloud failure to sync?

    This has happened to me right now. I don't know why Microsoft sells a game that can be played on xbox and pc but delete your progress if you play on xbox and pc.

    Also happened to me. Had the entire game beat and unlocked almost everything (but one item).

    Bought Echos of the Eye and decided to play it on my PC

    Went back to Xbox and got the prompt to "Start Expedition"

    WHAAAT?!

    Absolutely gutted here

    Helo Mar7y, unfortunately it is not possible to recover the save that was lost, can not say for sure where the failure occurred if on the PC or phone, but if the progress does not appear it can not be recovered.

    This happened to me too, I was playing on my PC and the save data may not have synced over correctly (idk). Then I loaded the game up on my Xbox and my save data was gone. When I went on my PC my old save was there but then the game crashed and when I loaded it back up it was the new save from my Xbox. I've looked for the save folder that the Steam version of the game apparently has but its not there on the Xbox App version.

    (edit after reading other posts) I did buy the DLC and play it on my PC, twice and then this happened to me. Might be an issue with that.
