lost all sound to tv since last update

My TV-App worked perfectly, but since the last update the sound is juddering and makes cracking sounds (like an old phonograph record). Only the sound, NOT the video. I tried to connect the TV-Receiver (Kabel BW) directly with the TV and this worked perfectly.
I also tried to use other sound-settings, but nothing worked

Hi. Since Sunday, January 18th I experience the issue that the stream from my settop box (cable tv) lost sound and the picture stops circa every 4 seconds for another 4 seconds.

When connecting Cable signal direct to TV all is fine. Before everything worked smooth.

Maybe this was caused to some update?

Since last update my TV app does not function correctly. New hdmi cables. Video from the One works great for everything else, just get messages that the TV signal has been lost. I used to just kill the TV app and restart, then it got to the point I had to
do reboots. Problem so bad now I'm not even bothering with TV through the One as now it won't work at all.

Using ATT Uverse.

I have the same problem since the last update. It seems to be OK when I boot my xbox, but once I change the input on my receiver and switch it back it's stuck in stereo until I reboot the xbox. Something in the last update definitely broke surround sound
for TV watching.
