Lost all saved game data / Cloud doesn't sync.

My Xbox one has recently had a turn and decided not to sync my game data to my Xbox.

So it thinks I haven't played the game before and starts from the very beginning with the brightness adjustments and such.

Please help!?

Fallout 4 - Lost All But One Game Save

Try going into settings, under the storage tab, click clear all local saved games, this will cause all saved data to sync back from the cloud to your Xbox.

cloud saving on XBOX ONE

i had to reinstall a game on xbox one and i lost my progress i looked online and it said that it automatically saves to the cloud or hard drive and then it syncs to the cloud. i have no idea how to access the cloud or anything. i called support and they said that hard drive saves are only for 360. how do i retrieve the data?

Sorry to hear it. It could be a cache issue. Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps.

Sadly you need to redownload every game again but the saved data is in the cloud so your son shouldn't have lost any progress at all you only need to sync the save data again

i remember now how i did it.

1. go to the xbox that doesn't have most recent data. delete Starfield's "Saved data" (under manage game and app).

2. Open game. instead of syncing with cloud (which will put you in endless loop), sync last saved data.

3. Ignore error message ("some game objects will be lost" or something like that).

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to the issue with the missing saved data, if you were not online when you were playing the game and you no longer have any saved data that data is now lost. In order to prevent Saved data from being lost
you will have to sync it with the Cloud game saves by going online every once and a while.

It is unfortunate but you will not be able to recover the saved data unless it was previously synced with the cloud. For more info on

Hi Dimari,

When you re-install the game or if you delete the local saved data, then the cloud data will sync to the Xbox the next time you start the game. However if the game is still loading with no saved data even after syncing from the Xbox Live cloud then the data
was possibly corrupted and erased due to an improper save or crash of the game during a save point and there would be no way of recovering that lost data.

You can perform a
soft factory reset and try syncing the data again from the cloud but if that doesn't help then you will need to contact Forza Support on their support page or forums site and see what they can do:

You missed the point entirely.

Xbox Life Cloud Save continued syncing with my local Xbox One hard drive every time I started the game. The complete safe was never lost, otherwise the sync would have restored it.

When part of my information disappeared, the sync still happened, but treated the new version -- with the missing data -- as official, and overwrite the other save (that was not missing anything) with the one that was.

Cloud save worked to back up my save, but could not recognize that my save had mysteriously lost some data.
