Lost all dlc, experience, cars, levels, credits, tokens, affinity, etc.; reset to new game; ...

I was at level 980 and just completed max affinity on all car brands. I owned all cars in the game and had over 450,000,000 credits with 660 hours of gameplay. When I purchased the NASCAR PACK i ran into trouble. When trying to download the paid-for content
I received message "garage is full." I was unable to download any cars. Xbox Support had me delete persistent storage and all saved games, delete and reinstall account, delete and reinstall the game.. The subsequent sync with the cloud too about 40 minutes.
It got to 99% then failed with error "can't sync content with cloud right now." Two options were offered, one to "try again" and the other to play offline. "Try Again" caused the sync to appear to start again but ran only for a few seconds, terminating
with no error. The result was the game began again as if it was new player/new account. Level was reset to zero, no affinity, no credits, no tokens, nothing. I have spent four days working with Xbox Support trying to get my profile back with no luck so
far.

Can anyone offer any suggestions or assistance, please?

Forza Motorsport 4

You get tokens with microsoft points. If you notice,you can buy a car for either in-game credits or tokens ( for example,the VW Beetle in the newest car pack can be bought in game for either 15,000 credits OR 1 token ) . It seems cars purchased with tokens
can't be sent to friends,sold at auction ,or sold back to the " virtual car lot " for more than 100 credits . In other words, cars purchased with tokens can not have their ownership transferred.

FORZA 5 -Game crashed, lost all my cars and stats

I had the same problem,but I reset back to zero and had to start all over again, I lost everything, cars credits and levels. I did a factory default, unistall/restall but nothing worked,nearly 4wks after Turn 10 did give me credits back for the loss of the
cars,but not the gifted ones,M$ gave me a months XBL gold as a good will gesture.

And it could also be that when they get the affinity to level 4, it gets no extra value. I usually try to buy all the parts that I can before I get to level 4 affinity. But i guess buying everything for a car could help with the value.

Basically you get x amount of xp per race. Leveling up nets you free cars and gifts. Other than that it's really just an indicator of time spent playing. The events open up as you own cars that are legal for the race parameters, or you can go through world
tour, which gives you three options on races and as long as your car meets the reqs (rwd, hatchback etc) you can use it.

Manufacturers have a level system too. As you race with their cars, you get affinity points which (so far) have given discounted parts and money. I'm sure as you get higher in affinity they'll start handing you top tier cars as well, but my highest affinity
is 5.

You can certainly ignore the micro-transactions quite easily, but noticeable is the absence of Forza 4's reward system which gave you an upgraded car per driver level increase and huge discounts towards upgrade per manufacturer affinity level (leading to
free upgrades by about affinity level 4 or something).

I rarely spent any of my credits in Forza 4 but in 5 I'm having to pick more carefully the cars I buy.

Well that's less so the case now that I was gifted 4 million, but there's still an element of it there.
