Lost access to Xbox account linked to my Steam FH5 progress

Sorry to hear about what happened. Unfortunately, neither Steam nor Microsoft support can directly tell you which Xbox account is linked to your Steam account, due to privacy and security policies.

Regarding your credentials, only you can identify which Microsoft account was linked to your game through Steam. For this reason, it's always recommended to use a single, consistent account to help avoid issues like this in the future.

Hello Arturo, thank you for responding. When logging in with my main email on the portal you provided, it logs me in with the name "Player921821117," which is fine. However, when linking it to my Steam profile, it doesn't load my progress or my gamertag "Trauko501" within FH5.

Currently, I have 3 Xbox accounts associated with 3 Outlook emails. The first and most used one logs me in as the user "Player921821117" in FH5. The second logs me in as the user "Tr4ukoTrueno" in FH5, although I never used it; I only logged into FH5 with it to try other accounts. The third doesn't have an associated Xbox profile.

Moreover, I remember something similar happening to me some time ago. When logging into FH5 from Steam for the second time, it asked me to relink the account with Xbox. Upon doing so with my main account, the message in the bottom left changed, and instead of saying "Welcome Player921821117," it said "Welcome Tr4uko501." That's how I managed to access my FH5 account with my progress that time, but it's not working now.

I had gone a step further, unlinked my main account from steam, linked, then unlinked my old account from steam, relinked main account, uninstalled the game, deleted the folder of FH5 in my steam folder, and reinstalled, and upon reinstallation it finally let me pair my main account!

Sorry you had to reset your progress and start again because of the error, I understand that’s frustrating and certainly not ideal. While progress unfortunately can’t be recovered, it’s possible to restore your inventory (cars, credits, vanity items and wheelspins) so you may want to consider this. This process can take a while though.

If you’re interested, you can always purchase FH5 on Steam if you prefer, but you would still need your Microsoft/Xbox account. Cross-play is supported between Steam and Xbox, although all your in-game profile data (including livery designs, leaderboards, etc) is separate and can’t be transferred.

Close FH5, Close Steam through the Taskmanager, and then open Steam, and from Steam open FH5, then you have to log in with "Sign in with new account" and put your login info in. Then it lets you into the game.
