    Lost Access to some purchased/acquired content.


    My Xbox Live Gold account was renewed on August 26th (it was set to expire on the 27th). After this happened, it appears that I lost access to several games, both ones purchased and those acquired via Games for Gold. When I try to open them I get a box
    that pops up and says "Preparing your Content" or something to that effect, and then another box pops up with an Error message prompting me to either insert the "disc" (these were all acquired digitally) or purchase the game. Not sure what has happened here.
    Is this a known issue or has my access to these programs been taken away by Microsoft for some reason? Again, the only thing that seems to have happened is that my Gold account renewed (been a Gold member for 10 years without prior issues). Some of the
    games still open, but about half of them do not anymore. Very frustrating. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Xbox live marketplace error?

    Sorry to hear that you've lost access to your old account. Unfortunately this does mean that you've lost access to any and all content that was purchased along with it as well.

    You will have to repurchase the season pass or dlc with this new account, I'm afraid.

    I am having close to the same problem. My mate moved in with me and we both set our Gamertags to my home Xbox so he could have his games again. I was able to play them on my account one night, then the next I wasn't. It began asking me to insert a disk (all
    games were purchased digitally) and all of a sudden my Gamertag isn't linked to my home Xbox, nor can it be!

    Hey Otakuon! what games in particular are you having issues with? Have you recently changed your home console? Post back and let me know!

    Hey Sir Lang Dang! You can only set your home console 3 times a year, if you have exceeded that you will need to contact support for further assistance. If this is not the case you will want to create a new thread with any error codes included so we can
    look at your issue specifically. Thanks!

    Sorry for the delay in response:

    This is the same XBOX One that has been my designated home console since I got it on release day. I have never touched that setting since then. I am a dashboard preview member so I don't know if that is causing my game licenses to get messed up. I did
    report this via the dashboard feedback feature, but as far as I know, anything you report with this just goes into a black hole and nobody ever reads and responds to the feedback.

    Samples games affected include:

    Assassins Creed Black Flag (Games with Gold - July 2015)

    So Many Me (Games with Gold - July 2015)

    Jack Box Vol 1. (Purchased via XBOX Game Store)

    Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros (Games with Gold - August 2015)

    How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition (Games with Gold - August 2015)

    There are a lot more. LIke I said previously, most of them were ones acquired via Games with Gold and about half of the GwG ones no longer launch while the other half still do. A few of the games that I purchased via the XBOX Game store are also affected
    and these games have also disappeared from my purchase history (they were there as of July 2016). So really don't know what is going on here.
