    Lost Access To Minecraft Java Edition


    So few months ago I migrated my Minecraft account from my Mojang account to my Microsoft account. All was good and I was able to play java edition just fine. Until I tried to play today I logged into the Minecraft launcher to find I lost access to Minecraft java edition. I had only gotten Minecraft java edition on my Mojang account and not on my Microsoft. Now when I log in after migrating it only gives me the demo version when I had access to Java Minecraft. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and logging in and out of my account but nothing seems to work, when I tried logging into the technic launcher it said that I've not purchased the java edition. I've found little to no help with my situation.

    I bought the Windows 10 version of Minecraft by mistake, but the one I wanted was the java edition.

    I saw that anyone who buys minecraft java edition is entitled to minecraft Windows 10. Is the reverse also true? Who buys minecraft windows 10 is entitled to minecraft java edition?

    If so, how do I access the java edition version at no additional cost?

    Hi,

    Minecraft Java Edition can be purchased from thier store page using your Microsoft Account:

    https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition

    And then being accessed with the (free) Minecraft Launcher on the Microsoft Store.

    Both Windows and Java Editions are included with Xbox Game Pass for PC/Ultimate subscription.
