    Loss of offline save upon connecting to live


    I had my Xbox One offline for a while and it was working great. I had almost completed the campaign for Black Ops 3 offline. Over Thanksgiving I went to a friend's house and used their wifi to connect to live and update the console. When I got back home
    ( I don't have internet) all of my saved game progress was gone. Thanks for your help.

    Question regarding cloud saves on XBOX ONE.

    Games automatically save to the cloud and the hard drive. There's no need to manually save it to the hard drive.

    Cloud storage is available to Silver members as well, so you don't have to worry about going Silver.

    If you game offline, your saves will automatically store on your hard drive. Once you connect to Xbox Live again, your saves will automatically sync with the cloud.

    So in your scenario... If you move and play offline, your games will save on the hard drive. Once you connect your internet again, Xbox Live will automatically detect the new saves on your hard drive and store it in the cloud as well.

    Achievements earned offline won't unlock upon going online

    So I earned a bunch of achievements for Unity while offline, but upon connecting to Live and even booting the game up, those achievements are still locked. It's been weeks, so I feel like the "wait and see" approach isn't working. Is there possibly something
    I'm missing?

    Converting offline account to Live account

    In another chat session right now, and am being told that converting an offline account to a Live account will result in a total loss of saved game data. Seems counter-intuitive to me. Why offer a "Join Xbox Live" option from the offline account if it's
    essentially the same thing as making a brand new, unrelated account with no existing information connected to it?

    Are you playing your games while connected to Xbox Live/Network connection or offline?

    Because if you're playing your games while offline, by resetting the console it will delete all local saved games.

    ^^Sometimes in MW3 Ill lose connection or someone else will dash, but my stats from the game and cheevos and stuff get saved. I think MW3 saves periodically. ALL CODs before MW3, no stats were saved in a loss connection, except a LOSS for everyone.

    All saves are stored ine the cloud if you are connected to Xbox Live and and can't see why any update will be responsible in the loss of all your saves:

    i would suggest putting your console in offline mode so you dont connect to live and all saves will be done locally until your reconnect to live again.
