Loss of HD quality using DISH

So when I hook my Hopper into the Xbox One HD content looks bad. The picture looks blurry and at time pixelated and blacks are no longer sharp...I enjoy using the TV features on the Xbox One, but I really wish it'd look the way it should. Now when there's
something I really want to watch I have to unplug the Hopper from the Xbox and plug it directly into the TV so I can watch in the quality it's meant to be in.

Will there be any improvement to the passed through quality in the future?

    :)

    HDMI HAS POOR PICTURE QUALITY

I'm really disappointed with loss of picture quality when watching TV. I’m using Dish VIP612 DVR->HDMI->XBOX1-> HDMI->LG LH55 TV. Changed out the HDMI cables and went through all the suggestions from Xbox, but still looks bad. This 240HZ TV looks like
a 120HZ TV now. I’m curious what HZ of TV other people who have noticed a quality loss have.

  3. Picture quality degredation, crushed blacks etc. with HDMI input

I agree. The picture being passed through the TV app is considerably lesser quality coming out the other end. Blacks are horrible and the picture is fuzzy while lacking HD quality.

It is so easy to see. Plug the Dish Network directly in and the picture is great. Plug the Dish Network into the Xbone and picture is degraded.

Just one more reason why I (you) shouldn't run my TV HD receiver through the Xbone!

Wow, Ironically I just posted about the same issue. I had dish come out twice to verify there were no problems with the signal or my equipment. they even gave me a new box.

they may have a adapter out there. if you have hd tvs why not just upgrade your dish service to hd.

    Slow XBOX Connection

I am running cable internet as I write code for a living and can't deal with un-stability of DSL or a "Dish Network" connection. My current speed(pinging cali from FL) is 2.2 Mbps Up and 26.8 Down. As for the amount of bandwith usage in the household, 2
computers(using web browsers, no gaming or DLin entertainment), security system and nest would still allow xbox to stream HD quality movies. As I stream Three HD movies at a time and still have more than enough bandwith when needed.
