Loss of all sound on main Home screen but works everywhere else

Last night i booted my X1 from post (green splash) Once the system had loaded it had trouble with signing me in, I also noticed that there seemingly was no sound.

So i tested my connection and some services were down, I also noticed that my NAT had become moderate (separate matter) which was solved with the bumper and trigger reset.

Then i re-selected my sound option (Hdmi off, Optical Bitstream, DTS) The sound then began to work, I was then signed in with sound on my settings screen WIN!

But upon depressing the jewel key the sound was gone, Back to the settings screen sound works again, Back to home screen sound is gone again.

The sound also works in games and in any other screen other than the home screen.

Whats going on Team?

Sound missing on Home Menu, Kinect, and Greeting Screen!

My Xbox One has been working perfectly until today.

I just finished playing Ryse, after quitting all the sound on the home menu doesn't work. No sound when swiping through menus, or choosing tiles. And Kinect no longer makes sound when it recognizes me.

Weird thing is, sound works in other menu screens such as Settings but not on home, kinect or the greeting screen its gone.

What should i do? Anyone else experience this?

 

Controller works on home screen but nothing else

Ok My controller works fine when I start my xbox. I can browse through the home screen with no issues. however when I try to play black ops2 or any other game it goes haywire. it will start scrolling up thru the menu options like I'm holding down on the
d-pad. it will stop if you back out and then go back but when you start a game my player is just looking down spinning to the left and firing the gun on his own. it also does this on video apps like hulu and crackle. it's like you're holding left. it wont
let you move right or up or down in the menus. I've looked thru all the the forums and tried everything I know to try but i can't fix it. any help would be great. thanks
