    Has anyone else lost the ability to copy or move game data from the console internal storage to an external drive? I have been using a 1TB desktop drive inside a USB 3.0 external drive enclosure. It was work just fine until a couple of days ago. Now all
    I can do is view the internal drive contents and the entire system contents but not the contents of the external drive alone. I cannot copy or move date data. I can only install or uninstall games.

    I also wanted to mention that the Xbox 360 does not support full storage space on external drives. You will only have access to a maximum of 32GB per external device.

    On the Xbox One game saves are stored both on the console and the cloud for easy access at any location. As for game install storage you can add external drives ranging in size from 256 GB to 16 TB for plenty of storage space for your games and DLC. The
    external storage can be set as the default storage if you so choose.

    Okay, it seems that after I posted this, I tried turning on the external drive AFTER turning on the system rather than turning on the drive first. This seems to have solved the problem.

    Is your external drive powered by an outside source? I know that people in the Preview Program have lost access to their external drives (I am one of those affected by this). The drive works, but it is not visible/accessible on the console.

    It is powered by an external power adapter but it is possible that the electronics of a drive enclosure may be either slightly or significantly different from a manufactured external drive.

    Xbox installed games invisible/not showing up?!

    Do you know if the missing games are on internal or external storage? It sounds like the Xbox is not seeing the external drive. Try unplugging your external storage and doing a full shutdown of the Xbox. While it is off, plug in the external drive and then
    turn the Xbox back on. Go to Settings > System > Storage and see if the drive is there. From there you can also view the content of both internal and external drives.
