    Loss of access on Xbox App


    Xbox app keeps denying me access to everything telling me I have to change the settings on Xbox.com but of course when you get there and go to privacy settings as it tells you too there is no setting blocking anything and there is no setting for blocking
    access to the app to even start with. I used the app for years and all of a sudden out of the blue ... STOPS WORKING. What's up Xbox? What is going on and why do all of your solutions lead to no where? It is so annoying.

    total loss of access to Xbox

    Troubleshooting screen comes up and I cannot do anything, then screen goes blank. Need suggestions immediately on what to do at this point, because I just lost a lot of money on this Fortnite game and I am not a happy person. We purchased up to tier 87,
    we are on level 53 and about 2300 vbucks (just purchased). Absolutely nothing works at this point. Disappointed to say the least.

    Loss of Pins/Xbox live access

    Everyday I lose my Pins and Featured Items and access to the Store and I have to hard reset my Xbone to regain access. Every day some app will tell me I don't have access to the internet. I go into system settings and it says I do. Today Hulu Plus says I'm
    not a Gold account. I AM. When is xbox going to stabilize this console?

    Hi there!

    If you are running into the same symptoms still, let's have you do the following:

    1. Sign your profile out of the app from the settings tab.
    2. Uninstall the app.
    3. Power down the device for 5 mins.
    4. Power it back on and reinstall the app.
    5. Sign back in and try once more.


    Let us know how that goes and if it fails to help be sure to send us the app version you are on, Make and model of the device you are using the app on, and the OS version.

    Once you see the game there you should have the option to install the game.

    It is the games license that'll enable you to install and then play the game.\

    If the game isn't there it means that it was bought on a different account or you got the game from this account through game pass.

    Hi Josef

    The Xbox app doesn't seem to allow you to change the default installation folder to WindowsApps on account of that being a system folder.

    I have tried taking ownership of the WindowsApp and XboxGames folder but get a "Failed to Enumerate Objects in the Container. Access is denied" error on some files within. So that didn't seem to solve the problem.

    At a bit of a loss at the moment.
