    Losing Wireless Settings


    I just bought a Xbox One about 1 week ago. I am having a issues which happened twice now where the console totally forgets the wireless network and settings and then disconnects from xbox live.

    If I go into network settings and run through the wireless setup again it fails to connect by saying the password for my WPA2 is incorrect even though it is correct.

    In order to get the Xbox One to reconnect to the network I need to force restart the console at which time everything is good again without any intervention till it happens again.

    This seems like some type of Xbox One Software issue with the network app all other devices of mine have no issues like this.

    Could this have something to do with Instant On any suggestions on a fix to stop this from happening again?

    Wireless Settings

    I had the same problem I reset my modem to factory default and started fresh. I turned on tkis and used wpa wpa2 with aes and now im connecting just fine.

    Is there any way you could connect through ethernet? That would probably fix the issue.

    Apologies, I checked that while signed in. You're right it can't be checked without an account.

    What type of network settings are you worried about losing if you reset the console?

    Wired or wireless?

    If you are using wired it won't be a problem. Wireless, you will need the SSID and password to connect to the gateway again. Check Settings>>Network settings. Under Current network status is the SSID if using wireless

    Resetting the console system OS keeping games and apps seems to be the best solution as it may be corrupted
